You are carrying a lot. Between the constant mental tabs open in your mind, constant overwhelm, the guilt of exploding, the forgotten tasks, and the exhaustion of trying to hold everything together…it can often feel like you are always one step behind. This therapy group is designed for moms with ADHD and moms raising children with ADHD who are ready for support that truly understands the chaos beneath the surface. Together, we’ll build practical ADHD management skills, strengthen emotional regulation, reduce overwhelm, and help you reconnect with confidence, calm, and self-compassion. You don’t have to figure this out alone anymore. This group is a unique collaboration between Lemon-Aide Counseling and Abiding Waters to merge multiple perspectives and specialties together for a robust collection of information and skills that can be tailored to best fit your family’s needs. Why settle for one counselor when you can have two?

Bethany Hofman is an LPC-Associate, Supervised by Johanna Montenegro, LPC-S and owner of Abiding Waters. Bethany LOVES having ADHD because she truly sees it for the superpower it can be when effective management strategies are implemented. Though she enjoys having a mind wired to explore, solve, create, and learn…she knows intimately the struggles of the ADHD wiring. Bethany is the mother of two neurodivergent children and enjoys empowering them to see their own superpowers. Bethany brings lived experience to the group that both validates and encourages families to build a life they love.

This group will explain what ADHD is vs what ADHD is not and give effective management tools that can be utilized right away. In a social media world of influencers trying to be therapists, parents are often overwhelmed with misinformation that hurts more than it helps. The group is structured in a way that allows members to not feel alone in their experience. The combination of both parents who have ADHD and parents raising children with ADHD will create a unique experience aimed to create compassion, connection, and empowerment to finally integrate real change in your home. Topics include but are not limited to: emotional regulation, organization, accommodations, supporting the brain, decreasing overwhelm, increasing confidence, EMDR resources, ADHD treatments, and more!

This is a closed group with limited spots available. Closed group means that once the group begins, no one else will be allowed to join. This increases connection between group members and enhances the group experience. Each session will be guided by Sierra or Bethany. The group will include practical information and tools as well as opportunities for discussion. The sessions will be held virtually on Wednesdays at 12PM for 1 hour. The dates are: June 10, 17, and 24. We will skip July 1st and resume July 8, 15, and 22. If you are unable to attend the session, reach out to receive the information and tools presented.

The cost of the group is $120 for the entire summer series. This is only $20 per group meeting which is significantly below market value for group sessions. Sierra and Bethany aimed to keep cost at a minimum to increase accessibility in these high-inflation times. It is our way to give back to the community. The group will be closed, which means once it has started, no one else can join. This creates a group culture in which people feel safe to share. With this, there are no refunds for non-attendance. In the event a group member misses, they may contact Sierra or Bethany to receive the material presented.
Let’s Work Together! If you're interested in working with us, complete the form and we will get back with you. Please note that Abiding Waters is closed on the weekends. We aim to respond in a timely manner.
