Explore EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a well researched trauma processing method that has shown to help alleviate symptoms of PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, phobias, and chronic pain. Since the creation of EMDR, new approaches and protocols have been discovered to better meet the individual needs of each client. I have completed extensive training in different protocols and integrations to tailor each individual treatment plan to meet the unique needs of my clients. Read about different EMDR approaches below to learn more.

EMDR Customized for YOU

No two people are alike…so treatment plans should not look the same.

The Process

Consultation

Free 15-30 minute video or phone call in which we discuss your goals and my approach. Then you decide if I am the therapist for you.

Intake

This is required for every service. It can be done in person or video call. This includes all paperwork, assessments, and brief screening.

Resource and Stabilization

Every single client will receive resources for stabilization of the right here and right now. For some protocols like group, recent event, and ongoing traumatic stress, this can be done the same day as reprocessing.

Plan with Purpose

This is where your tailored treatment plan is put together. Some plans are straight forward, other plans take time to strategize to meet the unique needs and story of the client. CLICK HERE to read the blog about what I would like all clients to know about EMDR before starting therapy.

“Note that this journey is uniquely yours, no one else's. So the path has to be your own. You cannot imitate somebody else's journey and still be true to yourself. Are you prepared to honor your uniqueness in this way?”
